1. Policy Statement

SITEKNIK supports Green Open Access and author self-archiving. Authors may deposit and disseminate different versions of their manuscripts in appropriate scholarly repositories and platforms without embargo. This policy is consistent with SITEKNIK's open-access model, author-retained copyright, and the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license applied to published articles.

2. Zero Embargo
SITEKNIK applies no embargo period to author self-archiving. Authors may deposit permitted manuscript versions immediately, including before submission, after acceptance, and after publication, as applicable to each version.
3. Manuscript Versions

4. Preprints
Posting a manuscript as a preprint before submission to SITEKNIK does not by itself constitute prior publication. Authors should disclose the existence of a publicly available preprint during submission and provide its persistent identifier or URL where available. After publication, authors are encouraged to update the preprint record with the citation and DOI or persistent URL of the published article.
5. Author Accepted Manuscript
The Author Accepted Manuscript is the version that has completed peer review and has been accepted for publication but has not yet undergone the journal's final copyediting, typesetting, and production process. Authors may deposit this version immediately after acceptance without embargo. Where the Version of Record is available, the deposited AAM should include a complete citation and a link to the final published article.
6. Version of Record
Authors may immediately deposit, share, and disseminate the published Version of Record (VoR) without embargo. The deposited copy should preserve the article's bibliographic information, copyright statement, DOI or persistent URL where available, and the applicable CC BY 4.0 license notice.
7. Deposit and Citation Requirements

When depositing the Author Accepted Manuscript or Version of Record, authors should:

  • Provide the complete bibliographic citation of the published article.
  • Include the DOI or persistent URL of the Version of Record where available.
  • Clearly identify the manuscript version being deposited.
  • Retain the applicable copyright and licensing information.
  • Indicate the CC BY 4.0 license for the Version of Record.
8. Author Rights
Authors retain copyright in their published articles. SITEKNIK does not require authors to transfer copyright to the journal or publisher. Self-archiving rights are therefore intended to support broad scholarly dissemination while maintaining accurate attribution to the original article and its publication record.
9. Repository and Platform Types
Permitted deposit locations may include institutional repositories, disciplinary or subject repositories, recognized preprint servers, funder repositories, personal or professional websites, and other appropriate scholarly dissemination platforms. Academic networking or profile services may also be used for lawful sharing where their terms permit such deposit.
10. Self-Archiving and Digital Preservation
Author self-archiving complements, but does not replace, the journal's formal long-term digital preservation arrangements. Information regarding journal-level preservation, the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), technical backup and recovery arrangements, and metadata interoperability is provided separately in the Archiving & Preservation Policy. SITEKNIK identifies content as preserved through an external preservation service only after the relevant deposit and preservation status have been successfully processed and confirmed.
11. Repository Policy Transparency
SITEKNIK applies a zero-embargo self-archiving policy and permits authors to deposit the Preprint, Author Accepted Manuscript, and published Version of Record. Any future changes to repository or self-archiving rights will be published transparently on the journal website.
