1) Copyright Ownership

  • Authors retain copyright to their works. Upon publication, authors grant the journal a non‑exclusive right to publish, distribute, and promote the Version of Record (VoR) in print and/or digital form.

2) Open License (Mandatory CC BY 4.0)

  • All articles in SITEKNIK are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.
  • This license permits anyone to copy, distribute, display, adapt, and reuse the content for any purpose, provided that appropriate credit is given to the author(s) and the journal.
  • License link: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/

3) Display of License & Machine‑Readable Metadata

  • The CC BY 4.0 statement is clearly displayed on:
    • the article landing page (HTML), and
    • the PDF of the published article.
  • License and rights information are embedded in machine‑readable metadata to facilitate discovery and indexing.

4) Proper Attribution (Required)

Any reuse of SITEKNIK content must include:

  • Author name(s),
  • Article title,
  • Journal name (SITEKNIK), volume/issueyear,
  • DOI/URL of the article,
  • License statement “CC BY 4.0” with the link above, and
  • A statement indicating whether changes were made.

Attribution example:
“Adapted from: [Author Name], ‘[Article Title]’, SITEKNIK: Sistem Informasi, Teknik dan Teknologi Terapan, [volume(issue)], [year], DOI:[…], licensed under CC BY 4.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0. Changes were made.”

5) Third‑Party Material

  • If the article contains third‑party content not covered by CC BY 4.0, the author must obtain permission and/or clearly label the specific license or permitted use in the figure/table caption.
  • Such third‑party material does not automatically inherit the article’s CC BY 4.0 terms.

6) Author Rights for Reuse & Archiving

  • Authors may reuse their content for teaching, presentations, and derivative works, provided CC BY 4.0 attribution is maintained and the DOI/URL to the article is included.
  • Authors may deposit without embargo the preprintpostprint/AAM, and Version of Record (VoR) in institutional, subject, or personal repositories, with full citationDOI/URL, and the CC BY 4.0 license statement.

7) Corrections, Updates, and Retractions

  • If a correction, update, or retraction is published, the CC BY 4.0 license remains in effect for the article; changes are documented transparently.
