SITEKNIK is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal that publishes original research, scholarly studies, and innovative developments in the fields of information systems, computer science, engineering, and applied technology. The journal provides an interdisciplinary scholarly platform for researchers, academics, practitioners, and professionals to disseminate research that contributes theoretically, methodologically, and practically to the advancement of science, engineering, and technology. SITEKNIK particularly welcomes research addressing technological innovation, system and method development, engineering applications, digital transformation, technology readiness and implementation, and science-based solutions for society, industry, the environment, and sustainable development.

Technology Readiness Level (TKT 1–9)

In line with its orientation toward engineering and applied technology, SITEKNIK welcomes research across Technology Readiness Levels (TKT) 1–9, ranging from the formulation and validation of scientific or technological principles to prototype development, system demonstration, operational validation, implementation, and mature technology application.

TKT 1–3
Scientific principles, concepts, proof-of-concept, and early technological validation.
TKT 4–6
Component validation, prototype development, testing, and demonstration in relevant environments.
TKT 7–9
Operational demonstration, implementation, deployment, performance validation, and mature technology application.

Particular attention is given to applied research that demonstrates measurable technological advancement, validation, implementation, scalability, practical utility, or potential for adoption by industry, government, communities, or other end users. The declared TKT level should be supported by the research methodology, results, and evidence presented in the manuscript.

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

SITEKNIK encourages research that demonstrates a clear and evidence-based contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Relevant SDG connections should arise from the actual research objectives, methods, outcomes, or technological applications rather than from general statements of sustainability.

Not every manuscript is required to address an SDG. Where an SDG contribution is claimed, authors should identify only the goal(s) directly supported by the research and should avoid unsupported or purely promotional SDG statements.

Emerging and Interdisciplinary Research
SITEKNIK also welcomes interdisciplinary and emerging research that integrates information systems, computing, engineering, and applied technology, provided that the manuscript demonstrates clear scientific relevance and a substantial contribution to the journal's scope. Topics may include intelligent systems, sustainable technologies, advanced computing, renewable energy, digital infrastructure, human-centered technology, and technological innovations supporting sustainable development.
Scope Considerations
Manuscripts must demonstrate a clear connection to information systems, computing, engineering, or applied technology. Studies that are primarily descriptive, managerial, clinical, social, economic, or policy-oriented without a substantive technological, engineering, computational, or information-systems contribution may be considered outside the journal's scope.
Scholarly and Applied Contribution
SITEKNIK prioritizes manuscripts that present original findings, sound methodology, meaningful analysis, scientific or technological innovation, and a clear contribution to knowledge or practice. Applied research should demonstrate an identifiable level of technological development, validation, implementation, performance, utility, or readiness where appropriate. All submissions must comply with the journal's editorial policies, research-integrity standards, and peer-review requirements.
