As a commitment to integrity and objectivity in the manuscript evaluation process, GURUPEDIA: Journal of Teacher and Education implements  a Double-Anonymous Peer Review policy.

Proses Double-Anonymous Peer Review

In this process, the confidentiality of the identities of authors and reviewers is strictly maintained to ensure fair, unbiased, and independent judgments. Here is the procedure we applied:

Author Anonymity:

  • When a manuscript is accepted, all information that can identify the author (such as name, affiliation, and thank you) will be removed from the manuscript before it is sent to the reviewer.
  • Authors are instructed to ensure that the manuscripts they submit do not contain any personally identifiable information.

Anonimitas Reviewer:

  • Editors will invite reviewers based on their relevant expertise. Reviewers will receive the manuscript without knowing the identity of the author.
  • The identity of the reviewer will not be disclosed to the author, either during or after the evaluation process.

Editorial Results:

  • The editor makes the final decision based on recommendations received from anonymous reviewers.
  • If needed, the editor may invite additional reviewers to ensure quality and fairness in the decision-making process.

This policy aims to:

  • Increasing Objectivity: Ensuring that manuscripts are judged purely on their content, quality, and scientific relevance, without being influenced by the author's reputation or affiliation.
  • Prevent Bias: Reduce the potential for positive and negative biases that may arise from the identity of the author or reviewer.
  • Encourages Honest Feedback: Gives reviewers the freedom to provide constructive criticism and suggestions in an honest manner.
